About this film

Kodak Ultramax

If you’re looking for an all-around performer, Kodak Ultramax is a go-to ISO 400 film that photographers frequently recommend for its adaptability in different lighting scenarios. Reviewers note its balanced saturation, pleasing contrast, and relatively fine grain for a higher-speed film—attributes that make Ultramax a dependable companion for travel, parties, or street photography. Its ability to handle varied conditions ensures that newcomers can explore film without worrying too much about tricky exposures.

Film shop FAQ

Is the stock level on the website current?

The product page displays the current available quantity. Stock can change during the day, so check again before making a special journey.

Can film be posted to me?

No. Film stock and prices are shown online so you can check availability before visiting. Film is sold from our Brighton shop and is not posted.

How does the three-film discount work?

Buy any three or more eligible individual films in the same purchase and receive 10% off. You can mix different films. Value three-packs are excluded because they are already discounted.

How do I know whether this film fits my camera?

Check whether the camera takes 35mm, 120 or another format and compare that with the product title and variant. Bring the camera into the shop when you are uncertain.

How should I store unused film?

Keep film cool, dry and away from direct sunlight. For longer storage, refrigeration is useful; allow a chilled film to return to room temperature before opening its packaging.

Can you develop the film after I shoot it?

Yes. We process C-41 colour and black-and-white film in-house. Bring it to the Brighton shop or place a mail-order developing order before posting.
