How to post your film safely

Pack film securely, choose your return option at checkout, and send it to us with the correct postage. For valuable film, we recommend a tracked service.

1. Pack securely

Protect your film in the post

Please use a padded, rip-proof mailer and make sure the films are secure inside the parcel.

For valuable or irreplaceable film, we recommend using a tracked postal service.

2. Choose your turnaround

Mail-order scans can be fast

Mail-order turnaround starts when your film arrives at the lab.

You can choose same-day scans for film received by 2pm on working days, or scans in 1–3 working days. Negatives and prints are returned separately and posted once a week.

3. Choose your return option

Negatives, collection or disposal

We keep negatives for up to 3 months unless you choose return by post or disposal at checkout.

You can choose to have negatives and prints returned by post, stored for collection, or disposed of if you do not need anything returned.

Free return postage applies on orders over £50. Bulk order discounts apply automatically for larger orders. Please send your film to:

Place your order online

On our Film Developing page, choose your required service.

Add to cart

Choose your scan resolution, print option and turnaround, then add your order to the cart.

Discounts will be automatically applied if you're sending 3 or more films - these will show in the cart. Orders over £50 qualify for free return postage.

Choose Ship at checkout

At checkout, select Ship and enter your name and address.

Once you do this, you’ll see the options to:

  • Return negatives & prints by post
    (Flat fee of £3 per order)
    (Free on orders over £50.)
  • Store negatives for collection (Free - we'll keep them for 3 months). Useful if you sometimes visit Brighton.
  • Dispose of negatives (if you don’t need anything returned). No return postage cost!

Tip: If you don’t see these options, it’s because either “Ship”, or your address, haven't been entered yet.

We’ll confirm when it arrives

We’ll notify you when we’ve received your film and it’s logged into the lab.

We process, scan and (if ordered) print

Our published turnaround times apply to scans and start from the day your film arrives at the lab.

If your order includes scans, they will be sent by email with a Dropbox link when ready.

Negatives and prints are returned separately and are posted once a week, according to the return option chosen at checkout.

Please note: we currently do not sell film by mail order.
