Questions people ask us

Fast film developing FAQ

Is every fast service exactly one hour?

No. Medium JPEG orders—with or without 6 × 4 prints—printed-photographs-only and develop-only orders can be ready in one hour. High JPEG and all TIFF services take two hours. Larger or unusual orders may need longer, and we will confirm this when the film is accepted.

Which film can you process quickly?

We offer fast C-41 colour and black-and-white developing for 35mm and 120 film. Disposable cameras are welcome too; bring the complete camera to us.

Do I need to order online first?

No. Walk-in customers can choose and pay at the counter. You may still order online when that is more convenient, including when one person pays and someone else drops off the film.

What digital images / scans can I choose?

Choose Medium or High JPEG, Medium 16-bit TIFF or High 16-bit TIFF. Medium JPEG is a one-hour option whether or not you add prints. High JPEG and all TIFF services take two hours. Printed-photographs-only and develop-only orders can also be ready in one hour.

Can I have printed photographs quickly?

Yes. Printed-photographs-only and Medium JPEG orders with 6 × 4 C-Type prints can be ready in one hour. Add prints to a digital images / scans order for £8, or choose printed photographs without digital images / scans for £19 with sleeved negatives. Disposable-camera outcome prices can exclude negative return.

Are negatives included?

The main standard 35mm and 120 prices include sleeved negatives. A price £2 lower is shown when no negatives or printed photographs are required. Disposable-camera outcome prices default to no negative return, with sleeved negatives available for £2 extra.

Does the student discount apply?

Yes. Students receive 10% off developing when valid student ID is shown at the time of ordering. The discount does not apply to the no-rush service.
