A daylight-balanced, ISO 50 E-6 slide (color reversal) film famous for ultra-vivid saturation, deep blacks, and exceptionally fine grain. Velvia 50 renders foliage, skies, and sunsets with a luminous intensity and crisp micro-contrast that has defined the “Velvia look” for decades—an unmistakable transparency aesthetic that digital cameras and software cannot truly replicate.

With very limited exposure latitude, precise metering is essential: expose for the highlights and consider tight bracketing (±⅓ stop) when the light is tricky.
