Film cameras in stock at Picture This Film Lab
Our website shows only a small selection of the cameras we have available. Because our stock changes regularly, and because our main focus is film developing, scanning and printing, many cameras never make it onto the site before being sold in-store.
We usually have a wider range in the shop, including compact cameras, point-and-shoots, SLRs, rangefinders and medium format cameras, along with a changing selection of lenses and accessories.
If you are looking for something specific, please get in touch or visit us in person — we may have more in stock than is shown online. We also buy film cameras, lenses and related equipment.

& Film Lab
Our approach
Picture This is a walk-in film lab and camera shop one minute from Brighton Station. We're open Monday to Saturday, and we're here in person every day — not managing a postal queue from a warehouse.
We develop C41 colour and black and white film in one hour. We scan on a professional Noritsu HS-1800, producing true 16-bit TIFF files. We print on a Noritsu QSS wet-lab printer using real RA-4 chemistry — not inkjet, not dry-lab. These aren't selling points we borrowed from somewhere else. They're the result of decisions we made because we care about the output.
What makes us different
We sell film cameras, test them, repair them and use them ourselves. We know which cameras actually work because we see the results come back every day. Walk-in customers bring cameras in, shoot film, return and discuss their scans. That conversation — about what worked, what didn't, what to try next — is the thing no mail-order lab can offer.
We help people choose cameras that suit their actual shooting style, not the camera with the biggest reputation. We recommend film based on what someone is trying to achieve, not what we happen to have in stock. We troubleshoot in conversation, not over email threads.
Film photography has a learning curve, and film isn't cheap. Our philosophy is to help you get better results faster — fewer wasted frames, better technique, equipment that genuinely suits your needs.
Our community
Our Instagram — @picturethisfilmlab — is built entirely from customer collaborations. Photographers who develop and scan with us invite us to collaborate on their posts, and their work becomes part of a growing feed of real photography, shot on real film, by real people. You'll see local photographers commenting on and supporting each other's work. That's not a strategy. It's just what happens when people who love photography spend time in the same place.
If you'd like to be part of it, invite @picturethisfilmlab as a collaborator on any post featuring your film photography — developed and scanned with us.
