Submit a photo essay.

Picture This Journal publishes contemporary photo essays made on film by the people who use Picture This Film Lab.

Submissions are by personal invitation.

Customers whose film is developed and scanned by Picture This Film Lab receive a personal submission link when their scans are ready. No website account or login is required.

Invitations normally remain open for 30 days. Picture This Film Lab staff may also issue invitations for earlier work selected for the Journal archive.

1. Your photographs

Upload between three and ten photographs that belong together as one photo essay. The first three are the default complimentary-print set when your invitation includes prints.

4. Permission I confirm that these photographs are my own work, or that I have authority to submit them. I give Picture This Film Lab permission to consider my photographs and words for publication in Picture This Journal, on its website, social media and in-store displays. I understand that the editor may select and sequence only some of the photographs submitted.

Your three complimentary prints will be prepared for collection from Picture This Film Lab. We’ll confirm when they are ready.
